As part of my internship at MG2 corporation, a Seattle-based architecture firm, I was placed on a small internal team tasked with developing the company's installation for the 2023 Seattle Design Festival.
This project showcases the results of the MG2 summer internship program. Over the course of 12 weeks, 20 interns toured Seattle's various districts while posing the question: What if? Recording our observations of how urban environments influence local culture and society, we reimagined how city planning could affect a host of public phenomena.
The pavilion was erected at the 2023 Seattle Design Festival, inviting members of the public to explore the conclusions of the program and contribute their own observations and suggestions.

Process
Finding the right visual style to communicate the concept, meeting the SDF deadline, gaining corporate approval, working in a cross-functional team of architects and designers, adjusting to shifts in production and construction. These were some of the challenges faced when developing such an installation. Strong team cohesion, open communication, and a consistently thorough planning process ensured these challenges were no obstacle to an engaging final piece.
